Since 1895 Swanage Pier has withstood the worst the easterly wind and sea can do.
Following essential repairs and renovation there is still much work to be done.
Annual maintenance alone costing over £135,000
Since the 'Friends of The Pier' Sponsor a Plank Appeal was launched in March 1995 about £185,000 has been contributed from this source and we hope this will continue.
A donation of £50 will provide a brass plaque approximately  (148 x 45mm) 5.75"x1.75"
bearing a message of the donor's choice with up to a maximum of 30 letters, to be fixed to a
Pier Plank on Swanage Pier.

Should you be unable to come to Swanage Pier to see your engraved Plaque, then we would be pleased to forward to you an A4 certificate which outlines the brief history of Swanage Pier and includes a coloured picture of your Plaque fixed in position on a Pier plank.
The cost of the Certificate is £12 inclusive of postage.(Please note that the engraved plaques are fixed to the Pier Planks in batches, therefore there may be a few weeks wait before receiving your certificate).
